NICKIE KREWSON

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Nickie Krewson admits that she is, and always will be, a bluestocking. The first book she remembers reading was a dictionary. She wrote her first "novel" at the age of eight. Years later, her mother revealed that she had saved it. Though she studied finance and economics at the university she attended in rural Pennsylvania, her real love was always language. The impetus for The Poet came to her as a bedtime story she told her youngest daughter. She had no idea it would blossom into an entire imaginary world.
A FATEFUL WISH
The Poet is the first book in The Forest of Fontainebleau Series. This fantasy novel, set in contemporary France, begins with a tiny faerie, sheltering in a hollow tree, who comes face to face with an enormous, frightening bat. Fearing for her life, she grants him a wish which ties their destinies together. On a quixotic quest for the City of Lights, Paolo finds himself thrust into the sinful, sometimes dangerous realm of mankind, where he hovers at the edge of the realization of his quest, only to find its allure replaced by that of the beautiful faerie who haunts his dreams.

We are, each of us, more than meets the eye.
